From Melbourne there’s an organised tour to Wilsons Promontory National Park which can be done also by your own car. It’s a National Park a couple of hours driving outside Melbourne. The area offers opportunities for some nice walks in the forest and on a beach. Apart from this, there live also kangaroos and emus which are quite easy to spot here. For Australian nature and wildlife this is an excellent day trip.
