Jenolan Caves

From Sydney you can visit by public transport or organised tour the Jenolan Caves and the Blue Mountains. In a day trip it’s only with an organised trip or a rental car possible to visit both sights in one day because the one way trip to the Jenolan Caves from Sydney is quite far. The Jenolan Caves are an impressive sight and most tours which are offered give an opportunity to enter Lucas Cave with a guide. The Jenolan Caves were one of the positive surprises during my visit in Australia. Because the caves are big and the light adds some extra atmosphere to the caves.

Blue Mountains

In a day tour it’s possible to visit the Blue Mountains and the Jenolan Caves together.  To be honest for the last one there’s not much time left to enjoy the environment so your best choice is to have at least two days to visit both sights. One of the most important rock formations are the Three Sisters. During a day tour, unfortunately, there’s not much time left to make a hike in nature but the cable cars of “Scenic World”  are the solution.  It gives the possibility to see the mayor sights quickly but it feels more like an amusement park instead of nature.
