Next to Dubai is the emirate of Sharjah located which can be visited with local public transport. Sharjah is known to be one of the most conservative emirates of the whole country. So that means no alcohol and other things. The city of Sharjah has some nice colourful souqs and some old buildings in the city centre. But compared to Dubai it’s quiet and there’s apart from the centre not much more extra to see so a couple of hours is enough before the continuation of a day tour to Ajman.
