Wadi Rum

Wadi Rum is one of the most well-known deserts in the Middle East which has been used for movies like Lawrence of Arabia. Visitors can stay overnight in a Bedouin camp. During the night it’s advisable to have warm clothing because of the low temperatures in the desert at night.

There’re different options for an excursion. A desert safari with a Jeep or a trip by camel. The first excursion is the most comfortable one. One hour on a camel is enough from a man’s perspective, because of the difficult position you’ve. A point of attention is the strange way the camel stands up because otherwise, you might fall off the animal. An excursion through the diverse landscape is recommended because the desert offers besides the sand also decent rocks and mountains.

In the night there’s the opportunity to see the stars in a clear sky without light pollution. The difference with an ordinary sky in Western Europe in the night is huge.
