Introduction to Jordan
In February 2006 I’ve joined an organized tour of 8 days to Jordan. This after my visit to Istanbul and the Formula 1 race the year before, which made me realize that the world has more to offer than just Formula 1 circuits.
In 2006 there was a war in Iraq and in November 2005 there was a huge bombing attack at some hotels in Amman. Apart from this, the Middle East has the advantage there’s not so much crime as in other places in the world. I never felt unsafe in Jordan. Together with our guides, an official of the tourist police was part of the group.
