Piedras Rojas and Laguna Miscanti
Combined with the visit to Salar the Atacama, Piedras Rojas and Laguna Miscati are part of a day tour which can be easily arranged from San Pedro de Atacama. To get used to the altitude this one of the best tours to start. Highest parts are about 4.000 meters so enough water and no alcohol the first day and this trip is easy to manage. Hikes are straightforward and quite flat but nature is breathtaking.
Salar the Atacama you’ve to be lucky with the wildlife like flamingos because otherwise it’s a huge space with salt crystals. But even without the flamingos it’s still a surreal place.
