From La Paz in Bolivia it’s about nine hours by bus to get in Arica. Arica is a coastal city which has to offer quite a nice city centre and a rough coastline with El Morro hill which has a museum. From El Morro hill there’s a beautiful view of the city, harbour and surrounding area. The harbour is especially worth for the local fish market which gives a real local experience. Apart from the local experience, the empanadas with cheese and shrimps were really delicious and next to the harbour there’re some good fish restaurants.
