One of the most beautiful cities to visit in Ukraine is Lviv. It has a big old historic centre with a lot of sights to visit and about 800.000 inhabitants. It’s the place in Ukraine which best prepared for tourists and just about 80 kilometres away from the Polish border. Between Kiev there is a highspeed train connection. The trip of 500 kilometres lasts about 4 hours.
Apart from the old city centre with its sights, Lychakiv Cemetery and the Lonsky Prison National Memorial Museum outside the centre are worth to spend your time. The last one is about the occupation of the Nazies and Soviets in Lviv around the Second World War.
