Kyiv

The capital of Kyiv offers a lot of sights, good restaurants and everything you expect from a big city. I like the city and from 2012 to now it changed with much more restaurants and it can easily compete with any Western European city.

The best neighbourhood to stay in is Podil because the neighbourhood offers the best atmosphere and nearby are many restaurants. Another good option is a stay near Maidan Square. Apart from Podil main highlights worth a visit are Pechersk Lavra, a monastery complex, the house of Yanukovych, or just a walk in the city centre and the parks. Pirogovo Open-Air Museum and the Motherland Monument in Kyiv are also good places to spend your time and a visit to the Chernobyl Museum is perfect to end your visit to Kyiv. The last one especially if you want to minimize risks and don’t want to the city visit by tour.
