Stockholm
For me, Stockholm is the most varied Scandinavian capital. There is an old town with an atmosphere, which is called Gamla Stan. In addition, there are a lot of museums and palaces which are catching and parks which invite for a stroll. A one-hour cruise is an opportunity to see the city from another perspective. When the plan is to visit many attractions my experience is that it pays off to buy a Stockholm Card. To pay for each attraction separate can be pricey. Food is quite affordable in case your meal doesn’t contain alcoholic beverages.
My personal highlights were the cruise, a visit to the City Hall and the Drottningholm Palace. Three full days is in combination with a visit to the most important attraction absolutely recommended.
Apart from the palaces visits to the Vasa Museum and Skansen are recommended. Or just a walk around the city and its islands.
