Örebro

Örebro is famous for an old well-preserved castle which is situated in the city centre on an island. Constructions of this landmark took place in the 13th century. They modified the building in the 16th century to its current condition.

Apart from this castle, the historic part of Wadköping is worth to stroll around. In this area, historic buildings of Örebro and surrounding areas are placed. The area feels like a separate neighbourhood within the city. Apart from the buildings, Waldköping offers information about the traditional way of life in Sweden.

The last stop in Örebro not to miss is the water tower Svampen. The building has a free entrance. From the top of the tower, there is a beautiful panoramic view of the city. The restaurant inside offers a very good and affordable lunch.
