Coimbra

Coimbra is a historic city located between Porto and Lisbon which is most well-known for the university and Bibliotheca Joanina. Both are located next to each other and definitely worth to give a visit. Apart from this the city of Coimbra is nice just to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere. During my visit, I gave also a visit to Sé Velha and a Museu da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Coimbra. The last one gave one of the best panoramic areal views of Coimbra. This was a good substitute for the university’s tower which was closed during the Corona pandemic. Next to the university the aqueduct and botanical garden are not sights to miss.
