Things to do in Kraków
Kraków has a beautiful old city centre and is an excellent place for a city trip. The main point of interest in Kraków is the Rynek Glowny. It is Kraków’s main square which dates back to the 13th century. On walking distance are Wawel Royal Castle and the Jewish quarter Kazimierz.
Around the city, there are opportunities to visit the remains of the concentration camps in Auschwitz and Birkenau. I visited the place in December 2007. Be prepared that there can be snow and temperatures which are below zero degrees. Just outside Kraków and a short ride by public transport away are the salt mines of Wieliczka.

Kraków is one of Poland’s main cities and has connections to Wrocław and Warsaw for example.
