Mdina and Rabat

Mdina and Rabat can be combined in a day tour from around Valletta by public bus. Both villages are situated next to each other so you can start with the old village of Mdina. There you can appreciate the old buildings, narrow allies, traditional houses and old churches. From this village there is also a nice panoramic view of the surrounding area and the island.

After the visit of Mdina you can just cross the parking lot and the road and then you enter the village of Rabat. This village is famous for the St. Paul’s Cathedral and the grotto. Apart from this it’s a little bit quiet compared to Mdina. So best is first to start Mdina and then visit Rabat. From Mdina the bus departs back to the main bus terminal of Malta in Valletta.
