Esztergom is a city that can be reached in about 45 minutes by bus from Budapest. This city was the capital of Hungary from the 11th to the 13th century. The main highlight of Estzertgom is the Castle Hill with the Eszertgom Cathedral on top. It is a great place to walk around and enjoy the panoramic view from Castle Hill over the Danube.
