Things to do in Debrecen
Debrecen is Hungary’s second-largest city, that has a blend of history and modernity. The Great Church dominates Kossuth Square, reflecting the city’s religious heritage. Kálvin tér offers a lively atmosphere with charming cafes and shops, while the Déri Museum showcases art and artifacts. Outside the center provides Nagyerdő Park a tranquil escape, featuring a thermal bath for relaxation. I have concentrated myself mainly on the center that day during my visit. But to be honest one day is really enough. For me this is the most disappointing Hungarian city.
Connections
Debrecen is the second largest city of Hungary. By train there are connections to Eger and Budapest. I have visited this city by train from Oradea in Romania. Only one transfer in Hungary is required.
