I’ve stayed in Thessaloniki for two nights. One day I explored the city which offers some old ruins and also an atmospheric market. The Roman forum is one of the highlights to visit. Compared to Athens it’s small but nice to explore at least for one full day. The city has also a boulevard where you can wander. It’s an excellent place to start your tip in Greece and continue to Trikala and Meteora.
