Things to do at the Georgian Military Highway
The Georgian Military Highway is a scenic road between Tbilisi and Kazbegi in Georgia and is definitely not a place to miss. It pays off to look for a minibus that makes a couple of sightseeing stops in between. At least at Zhinvali Reservoir, Ananuri Fortress, and the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument. At the last stop, you have a perfect view of the high snow-capped mountains and the Devil’s Valley below.
Connections
Marshrutkas (minibusses) connect Tbilisi with Kazbegi and use the Georgian Military Highway. The journey takes about 3 hours.
