Zadar

Zadar is an old city that is part of the Dalmatian coastline. The city itself is pleasant just to walk around and enjoy the atmospheric squares, old buildings, and the promenade. Just from the coast, some islands are located which can be visited by boat on a day trip. A good example is Ugljan. But the city is also the most convenient place to make a day tour to the colorful Plitvice Lakes National Park. In the city are many different tourist agencies which offer you transport and in the national park about 6 hours of free time to hike around.
