Plitvice Lakes National Park

Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest, largest, and most well-known national park in Croatia. The national park is located between Zadar and Zagreb in the centre of Croatia. There are day tours offered in Zadar, Zagreb or Split. If you don’t want to stay overnight and want the shortest journey the departure from Zadar is recommended. From Zadar, it takes about two hours to get to the entrance of the national park.

In the park, you have about six hours of free time which is enough to walk route C. This route is 8 kilometres and includes a boat trip and train ride. With this route, the most important highlights of the national park are covered and there is still plenty of time to take a rest. Only during high season, it is recommended to be early at the harbour for your boat trip. Because a queue will form here quite quickly.
