Things to do in Khor Virap
Khor Virap is one of the most well-known fortified monasteries that is located near the Turkish Armenian border. There is also a beautiful panoramic view of Mount Ararat and the entire valley from the monastery. In case you have a taxi a visit can be done in less than half a day. The site is only 35 kilometres outside Yerevan. Most of the road is a highway and in Khor Virap one hour for visiting the complex is sufficient.
