Tirana

My last stop in Albania was in Tirana for three nights. A city with not much appearance and a lot of casinos. A lot of restaurants and also very good ones which offer for a couple of Euros an excellent dinner. For people with black money, Tirana is also an ideal destination for laundering your money or you can try to earn your holiday back with some gambling.

Tirana is not huge and it’s easy to find your way and it’s worth to make a stop at the National Historical Museum. In this museum a lot of exhibitions are about the history of Albania. Descriptions in English are rare unfortunately and don’t expect airco as well.  The museum is next to Skanderberg Square. One of the places which gives the feeling that Tirana is a real city because of its spacious layout.

A lot of buildings still show some communistic history. Some buildings are painted in bright colors. Traffic is just terrible because people drive as they all bought just their driving license. A lot of passion is used when driving. The roads in Tirana are made for the future. They’re wide with not too many cars so ideal to commit some traffic offenses.
