Kobe is not a big tourist destination in the aspect of sights but more in the aspect of food. It is the place to have your Kobe beef. In 2014 the price was for a three-course lunch with 150 grams of Kobe beef about EUR 45,- which is a very good offer. Especially compared to the prices with dinner, because then you were expected to pay for this excellent meat more than EUR 100,-.
Nearby the train station is the neighborhood Kitano with its European-style houses and buildings which invite you for a stroll if you are just too early for your lunch.
Connections
Kobe is in between Osaka and Hiroshima and it’s an excellent place to make a short stop on your way to Hiroshima.
