In 2013 I’ve visited Albania which is one of the unknown destinations in Europe. Unknown definitely doesn’t mean awful. The country has a lot to offer: ruins, atmospheric villages and beautiful nature. The country really has the ability to become a touristic destination. I combined my stay with a visit to Greece. I’ve taken a bus from Trikala in Greece to Albania. Trikala is the place to stay overnight for a visit to Meteora. The famous place for its monasteries in the mountains. A combination with a visit to Montenegro from Shkoder in the north of Albania is also possible.
