Estelí
Estelí is about 2,5 hours by bus from Managua and from this place there’re different possibilities for excursions. You can hike in the Nature Reserve Miraflor which has beautiful countryside. For this trip it’s important to arrange a local guide because you’ll pass private land.
A second option is a visit to a cigar factory, in and around Estelí around 30.000 people are working in those factories or have jobs which are related to them and the last option is a day tour to Somoto Canyon, which I’ve skipped.
