San José is the capital of Costa Rica and the place where you will arrive and/or leave the country probably. One full day you can enjoy yourself in the city centre which offers some old buildings and museums and the better restaurants in the country. Budget tip for San José is that if you arrive and leave during the day the city centre is connected by public transport and instead of USD 30,- for a taxi you’ll pay about EUR 0,80 (price 2018).
