With an early departure from Sarande it’s possible to reach Shkoder between 4:00 and 5:00 P.M. During summertime there’s an opportunity to visit after arrival the castle of Shkoder and the Mesi bridge which are both on a short distance. From the castle there’s a panoramic view over Shkoder Lake and with the sunset some extra atmosphere is added. The bridge of Mesi is average as sight and the main reason is the amount of rubbish which is next to the bridge. Conclusion: this is not the way to protect your national heritage.
