Tavira

Tavira is an old and traditional village with white historic buildings in the Algarve. This village is well-connected by train to Faro. At least every couple of hours there is a train connection from Faro which gives you the opportunity to visit this village as a day tour.

Tavira itself is quite small so within a couple of hours you can get a good impression. All the main sites are located in the old town and you can visit them on foot. Regarding museums in my opinion no highlights to mention. So a small day tour is enough and no need to stay here. Late afternoon you can take a train back to Faro.
