About 45 minutes by public bus outside Maribor is the oldest Slovenian city, Ptuj located. Just short walk from the main bus terminal is the old city centre. On the hill is the city’s main tourist sight Ptuj castle. From the castle there is a panoramic view of the city and inside the castle there is a museum which is about the history of the place.
Apart from this castle and museum in de the centre are the Town Tower, Theatre and the Ptuj Town Hall places of interest. The best view of the city and its castle is offered when you cross the bridge of the Drava river.
