Great Ocean Road
From Melbourne to Adelaide a good option is to follow the Great Ocean Road on a tour for three days. There are a lot of tours offered in Melbourne with the possibility to camp overnight or to stay in a hostel. Camping can be cold during the evening especially when you visit the country around March/ April.
This trip offers beautiful views on the coastline and the possibility to see kangaroos and koalas in the wild. There’s a hike in the jungle and a visit to the Twelve Apostles is included. The last one are rock formations which are worth visiting during the day and at sunset.
The Great Ocean Road tour ends with a visit to the Grampians National Park and McKenzie Waterfall. Especially if you’ve seen more often waterfalls this one is a little bit disappointed. For sure compared to the 275 Iguazu waterfalls in Brazil. The surrounding area is nice to walk and the Pinnacle hike rewarding for the panoramic views. After this hike, a night bus to Adelaide can be taken.
