Golden Circle

The Golden Circle is one of the most famous touristic tours in Iceland. During this tour, you visit four different places. In the morning Kerið Volcanic Crater with a photo stop. During this short stop, a panoramic view can be enjoyed at the crater lake.

The huge Gullfoss waterfall is the second stop. This waterfall has during the Winter quite a lot of ice and this fact adds extra atmosphere. There are some possibilities to walk around over there and enjoy the view of the waterfall in different angles.

Geysir is the third stop of the tour. The place is called after the hot springs which are over there. This was by far the most crowded place during the tour. If you walk a bit further there is still enjoyment. Most of the people cluster around the main spring/ geyser. Just to check the box and make their selfies.

Þingvellir National Park is the final stop of the day. The park is in a valley which marks the border between North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Geological formations and a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding area are part of the experience.
