Around Nur-Sultan a visit can be made to the village Malinovka. There is a memorial for the people who’ve died and suffered in the gulag. It is a place to touch some history of the country but also an excellent way to experience that only Nur-Sultan has modern architecture. Outside Nur-Sultan it’s a steppe landscape with just grassland.

Your only reliable connection to get her starts from Nur-Sultan. The 35 kilometres can be done by taxi or by minibus, are enough to have an impression of the landscape which is boring. It is empty and sometimes a yurt pops up.
