In 2017 I independently travelled around Hungary for 11 days. Of this tour 5 days with a rental car to places outside Budapest. The rest of the time I stayed in Budapest and the surrounding places like Szentendre and Esztergom. Both can easily be reached by train or bus respectively. In 2023 I have visited Debrecen for one night from Romania on my way to Budapest.
